ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 9001:2015 are published
Both standards ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 9001:2015 have now officially been published. ISO 14001:2015 was published on September 15, 2015, and ISO 9001:2015 was published today, September 23, 2015. These dates start the three-year transition periods for organizations to update their systems to the new revisions.
The Registrar Company has been preparing for the transition over the last year and is in the process of having our transition guidelines for clients approved by our accreditation body. These guidelines will be published prior to the end of 2015.
TRC is expected to be approved to audit to the new revisions by the end of Q1 2016. Clients can begin transitioning at their regular audits in 2016 but are given the full three-years to have their transitions completed. It will be up to each organization to decide when they are ready. The 3-year transition deadlines are September 14, 2018, for ISO 14001:2015 and September 22, 2018, for ISO 9001:2015.
For more information on what to expect in the 2015 revisions, TRC will be conducting training sessions that cover the keys changes to these standards for just $99 per person. All current TRC clients are invited to send one participant free of charge.
