Revision A of the AS9104/1 standard was published in January 2022. The 9104/1 standard contains Requirements for Certification of Aviation, Space, and Defense Quality Management Systems. Some major changes and additions in the new standard revision include new requirements for determining audit duration of client organizations with multiple sites, new OCAP (Organization Certification Analysis Process) process for calculating audit duration, and expanded use of remote auditing. In the coming weeks, the IAQG OPMT will publish a Supplemental Rule (SR) to provide requirements and timelines for all stakeholders to facilitate the transition to the 9104/1A standard.
